Childhood Places Memories
by / Mohammed Al Shamiri
The sun was above shining its burining rays between the blue skies, an enormous lovely park stood under it. The weather was humid and hot, the smell of the concrete was roaming the place like children happily playing around. The trees were waving and singing as an air wave passed by, the leaves were creating a melody and the birds were following it.
Moreover, the fallen leaves were giggling and flying .around. The green pretty grass purified the grounds with its pleasant smell However, nearby on the corner, there was a sweets shop. Its colours were significantly different from the environment: pink walls and yellow furniture, that’s how it looked like. The freezing cold ice creams with different colours and flavours had an important role in this magical atmosphere. The many small .candies were waiting on the shelves for someone to take them At the other side of this wonderfull park, there was a pond. The sun rays were shimmering on the water surface. Furthermore, there were red roses at the sides of the pond, drops of water were dropping from their leave into the bond, they were creating beautifull sounds. The fish in the pond swam around, with .their fins making a music that rhymed with the drops of water falling from those fragrant roses Close to the pond, there was a wooden coffee shop, from the front it was made out of clear glass that looked like diamonds. The smell of coffee was soaked in every inch of the ground. Anyway, I ordered an iced coffee; it came cold and colourless – it was all brown. The scene of the ice melting and the drops of water sliding on the glass cup made the me want to cry. It tasted like it was part of this unimaginable .environment I ended my day, by sitting close to the pond and watching the sun as it fades away beyond the sky. The night came by and the street light tried their best to make everything clear. It was a lovely atmosphere as .the insects were humming gently.
